6.04: FF Hurt 'n' Heal II Results

6.04: FF Hurt 'n' Heal II Results

Sorry this is so late! We in fact had a tie, which I was hoping would break, but it never did. So I just decided to break it myself by voting. So our final winner is...

Faris Scherwiz

The final vote was 5 to 4.

As for predictions, this may seem like déjà vu, but the winner is the one person who predicted Faris would come out on top. That person is

Yin of [personal profile] breyzyyin!

Now isn't that familiar! 60 points to Team White Mage!

In second place was [personal profile] ets, who was the only person to correctly guess the final four! 45 points to team Team Black Mage!

Finally, in third place was me, which is strange because I incorrectly predicted Edgar would make it all the way to the end. Oh well! 30 points to team Team Black Mage!

Honorable mention to [personal profile] chaos_cat, who would have placed second if Beatrix had won instead!

The point system I used was as follows:

Correct guess for first round (initial parties)1pt each
Correct guess for second round (2-game parties)2pts each
Correct guess for third round (4-game parties)3pts each
Correct guess for fourth round (final party)5pts each
Correct guess for fifth round (final winner)8pts

Here are the full prediction results for those interested:

RANKUSERTOTAL POINTS# OF CORRECT GUESSES
1[personal profile] breyzyyin/Yin4725
2[personal profile] ets4425
3[personal profile] chacusha3722
4[personal profile] chaos_cat3421
5[personal profile] breyzyyin/Breyzy2818
6[personal profile] glacialphoenix2720
7[personal profile] crissaegrim2415
8[personal profile] lady_nova2316
9[personal profile] the_asteroid_girl2217
10[personal profile] ceiling_fan2015

A perfect score would have been 62 points and 31 correct answers, for your reference.

There were quite a few surprises this round. In general, Edgar, Seymour, Laguna, and Vayne were slightly overrated (predicted to go farther than they ended up going). Edgar especially -- you failed us by dying in the second round! On the other hand, not many people predicted Faris and Fran would make it to the end, so that was a surprise.

Now for the points! Note: I'm changing the amount of points for the final voting from 1 point to 2 because I wanted a round number (30) for perfect voting points (which [personal profile] cherrykiss, [personal profile] crissaegrim, and Yin managed to get - congrats!). This means that full participation in this challenge = 45 points.
